It was the most perfect fall day for Aaron and Alissa to get married at Alissa's family home in Little Falls, MN . I have known these two for only a short amount of time but the warmth from their love wraps everyone around them like a big comfy blanket. Their entire wedding day felt that way and it couldn't have been more perfect for them! It was such an honor to document this special day. Congratulations to Aaron and Alissa!

Mely and Dan's wedding day set the bar for any October wedding. When I first knew about their cemetery wedding in October I was all in! You don't see weddings in a cemetery often but it truly complimented their classical vintage wedding by L'Etoile Events . The celebration continued at The Happy Gnome and damn did they throw a party! So happy to have been there to document this special day for these two. Congratulations to the new Mr. + Mrs. Hallgren!

By “off season” we’re talking about winter here. I hibernate. As much as I love being outside, I hate the cold and unless it’s above freezing, I prefer to stay inside. That being said, I can’t say I do a ton of photo work in the winter months. It’s pretty darn refreshing to take a break and it makes picking up the camera again that much more exciting.

When it's not wedding season I am a full time nanny for some awesome kiddos. As far as photography goes, I focus on shooting family, engagement sessions, and senior sessions. Also, it's a great time to meet and plan with clients about their wedding day.

Relax! Well, yes, a little, but most years, I shoot a couple of weddings during the winter months. It is also the best time to take stock of my business and decide where I want to go in the coming year. I can refresh any marketing materials that need attention and reconnect with industry friends too. If possible, I try to get my finances in order for tax filing in the Spring. So fun, right! I spend lots of time with my little girls and husband, John. We love to play games, do puzzles and sit by the fire.

The off season is a great time for me to reflect on the past season and focus on the season that is ahead. It is a great time to collect myself and practice what I would like to work on. I focus on side projects and freelance work as well to keep me going and keep myself busy. Ultimately if I don't have something going on I take that time to relax but continue to push myself to work so I can stay in the groove when the wedding season is back in full swing!

Molly and Nick's wedding day gave us the happy tingly chills. Their love for one another is so kind and true. Everything seems right in the world when you are around them and it was no surprise their wedding day was surrounded by all the love and support. Their Minnesota Horse and Hunt Club wedding was the perfect place for their celebration. Congratulations to the new Mr. and Mrs. VanHorn!

Public Functionary Wedding Photos | Rivets & Roses

Erin and Delaney are two of the sweetest people. Their genuine love for each other shows in every way they look at each other and speak to another. Their wedding day began at their home where they got ready for their special day. Friends and family gathered at Public Functionary where Mi Mi Design created a mix of art and greenery in the space for their ceremony and reception. The space was utilized perfectly by allowing guests to casually mingle, enjoy karaoke, and dinner from the Hola Arepa food truck outside. Everyone danced the night away in celebration of the new married couple!
