Mr. + Mrs. Lopez | Black Canyon Inn Estes Park Wedding | Post by TK Sloane

I loved every minute of this winter wedding in Estes Park, Colorado. A giant snowstorm rolled in the night before, blanketing the charming mountain town with a pristine, fluffy layer of white fit for a film set or a fairytale. Nicole is a former Rivets & Roses photographer who followed her adventurous spirit and love of the outdoors out west a few years ago, where she met Vincent, who found his way to Denver from West Virginia right around the same time Nicole did. Their love story feels magical that way, as if conspired by the universe, or perhaps by the mountains themselves.

A solo singer and guitar serenaded Nicole and Vincent down the aisle at Our Lady of the Mountains, a rustic church built in the 1950s. Snow flurried off the roof of the church and the nearby evergreen trees, stinging noses and cheeks but making family portraits sparkle. Nicole and Vincent sported truly fabulous footwear, with a special shout-out to the giant snow boots required to make sure their more delicate fabrics (and toes!) made it safely to the venue. (With two Minnesotan wedding photographers present, you know we were prepared for anything!)

A drive up the canyon led us to the stunning Boulders at Black Canyon Inn, where the sun setting over the mountains was visible through dozens of floor-to-ceiling windows. Perfect Touch Event Planning had every elegant detail executed flawlessly. And holy cannoli, I have never seen a more mouth-watering dessert table! Dolce Sicilia and Cake Bar really outdid themselves. Friends and family members delivered stunning speeches, bringing tablemates together through shared fountains of tears and infusing the whole evening with an air of awe at what it is to be human and to love.

Cheers to Nicole & Vincent! Thank you for inviting me to document your connection and celebration!
